Alvin Loves

  • Alvin loves a Cold Glass of Water, especially on a hot, summer day. He knows the town has to tackle important issues like water quality and capacity. He promises to be pragmatic in his approach when it comes to the Town Board’s responsibilities in this and other important, similar issues.

  • Alvin loves National Grid, after all, he’s worked there for the past 39 years. Alvin recognizes the need for improved infrastructure and has spent many long days and nights helping families with electrical and gas issues.

  • Alvin loves collaboration. He understands and respects how important it is to set national, partisan politics aside and make sure all sides are involved in the discourse toward the ultimate solution.

  • Alvin loves looking out for others. He is known for helping anyone in need and has proven to be the guy to roll up his sleeves, put on the helmet, and get the work done with you.

  • Alvin loves Woman-Owned Businesses and pledges to do what he can to continue and support such endeavors and entrepreneurship throughout the Town of Colonie.

  • Alvin loves inclusion and promises to look out for all of the residents all of the time and not some of the residents some of the time.

  • Alvin loves Sports and Recreation. He’s not the best golfer, but he tries to find time to practice and play. He’s appreciative of the quantity and quality of the public golf courses that are located in Colonie.

  • Alvin loves Education. Alvin knows the importance of education and how challenged the schools, the students, and their families feel as they transition out of a year and a half dealing with Covid. Alvin will look to support services and programs provided by the Town of Colonie for our children. They are our future.

  • Alvin loves Good Food, especially healthy good food. He has a near and dear spot in his heart for local farms and producers.

  • Alvin loves Ice Cream! His favorite flavor is mint chocolate chip. His favorite places for ice cream are Guptils, Kurvers, and Scoops on Albany Shaker Rd.

  • Alvin loves flowers and so does his wife Abby. They have a beautiful garden in front of their home in Loudonville.

  • Alvin loves Music, especially jazz!

  • Alvin loves Mentoring and sees the responsibility of being on the town board as being a town-wide mentor and advocate.

    Alvin loves Colonie and asks that you vote for him in the election on November 2nd!
